March was a busy month for GRL Germany - we participated with two projects in the Street Lab Meets Berlin Festival. Our actions went really well, and it was all possible because of the fantastic space at ODC.
On March 11, we showed blitzTag - our version of laser tag, close to betahaus/ODC at the Prinzessinnen Garten. Close to 100 people showed up on a late & chilly spring evening to bomb a giant white wall with light.
The next day, we hosted a talk and workshop at ODC - and then took to the streets with a LED Throwie action. Great fun was had by all, especially those unsuspecting city dwellers who helped us light up a dark corner of the city. Many thanks to our collaborator Shine in Decay for the expert throwie instruction.
This past weekend, we returned to Kotbusser Tor to clean-up the throwies. Many people had mentioned that we should try and remove the toxic batteries, so we decided to do something about it. Plus, we can re-use the lights and magnets.
