In betahaus we are already looking for the right whiteboard/brainstorming solution for a long time. We need something that is both, light and flexibel plus looks good without being too expensive. It seems, that we found something at Daylight that would serve our need and is easy to bild within Open Design City.
I didn't find the "Benjamin Stool" online at the ikea page, but it seems it was still in this years catalogue. Thus it should be available at the lokal Ikea. Stopping by at modulor should provide the second ingredient, the foam board.
This should be a one day thing that can happen in one of the next weeks or weekends. Anybody in? Please leave a Comment!!

bin dabei. als tipp: foamcore mit 3mm transparentem pvc vom bauhaus beziehen (bzw mit schrauben an den eckpunkten befestigen). dadurch entsteht eine fläche, die man mit whiteboard markern wieder beschreiben kann. ist (fast) die gleiche beschichtung wie bei teuren whiteboards. für magnetbehaftung kann man eisenblech zwischen zwei foamcore platten setzen. allerdings rostet das zeug doch recht schnell. magnetfarbe nützt übrigens nix.
Würde auch mitmachen. Nur wie zur Hölle bekommt man einen Schlitz in den Hocker, der so präzise ist, dass das Board reingesteckt werden kann, fest genug sitzt, und auch wieder raus geht? Vielleicht mal bei der TU Dresden anfragen?

@Ahmet: wenn Eisenblech rostet, ist wohl verzinktes Blech die einfachste Abhilfe, gibt's beim Schlosser oder z.B. bei dieringer-blechbearbeitung.de, oder einfach Plastikspray drauf.
amtliche Kunststoffe übrigens z.B. hier: reli-kunststoffe.de
@Chris: mit ner ggf. geführten Stich- oder Kreissäge kriegt man recht präzise Schnite hin. Wenn's supergenau sein soll würd ich ne Oberfräse nehmen (kann man z.B. im Baumarkt leihen).
