Making Connections: From talkshop to workshop.*

Part II of the conversation on How to Make Public Spaces More Public

Monday, June 12th and Tuesday, June 13th
4 - 7:30pm (possibly a bit longer)
Come to one, come to both, no need to have attended Part I to join in Part

Based on our exchanges of last Wednesday, we are holding a second round of
workshops to put into action some of the ideas that were discussed.

We're proposing to re-examine our own projects as basis for the collective
creation of new participatory public installations.

During this workshop, we will provide everyone with starting points -
presented as instructions from elements we've used in the past - to
kickstart the making of new, inspiring, engaging or simply playful

Possible starting points include:

- A pop-up intimate space
- A hotline to collect messages
- A solar generator to power things on the go
- A set of playful suspended structures

We're hoping all of these will lead to different scenarios, and prototypes,
that we will be creating together over the course of the afternoon. The
making session will be followed by an outing into the city to install, test
and open up the conversation to the general public.

If possible, please rsvp so we can plan materials:

*About us*
Over the past year, we've been creating a series of urban interventions that
attempt to make connections between people, content and places and that
encourage public participation and engagement along the way. You can see
some of our work here:
