CoCooking - ODC Vokü
Resident Citizen Mark Splatter has initiated the first of our Citizen dinners. At this event, we will share food, time and stories – getting to know new members better, and scheduling new events for the up coming months.

Enable Session VII: A Visual Search
We are interested in creating dynamic new way of visualising our city – a user-generated online map, that can be added to and searchable by time, space, and participants.

ODC Basic: Sewing
This workshop will give a basic introduction to sewing and using a sewing machine. During two hours workshop time each participant has the chance to make a simple sewn item. A selection of different fabrics will be available but you are welcome to bring some yourself if you happen to have some.

ODC Salon: Neal Gorenflo - The New Sharing Economy
In this month's salon, we're featuring Neal Gorenflo, publisher of Shareable Magazine and co-producer with Latitude Research of a new report on the sector, The New Sharing Economy, who will talk about this transformation, why it's happening, the role of design and technology, and the opportunities in the space.

Open Design City has its own small-scale 3d printer: A makerbot (an open source 3D printer for everyone). In this workshop we'll tell you everything you need to know from designing 3d models and file formats to printing.

“3…2…1… The horn blows and a group of designers throw back a stiff drink before plunging into work. They are producing a laser-cut object… a design that will hit the shelves in under a week. They have 4 hours to accomplish what most do in a month, but armed with liquid bravery, a bit of training and all the materials they need, they smash out a design as you party around them. At the end of the night, you decide who gets the biggest prize and the pieces are produced in front of you… on-the-spot.”

Events are mostly free for members, occasionally discounted. To become a member you can sign up here, our Member package also includes the ability to visit Open Design City 4 days per month and use the facilities between 9.00 - 18.00.
Unless otherwise stated all events will be from 19 – 21 h.
